This November, MedTech World is introducing a new chapter for its European flagship event with the launch of MedTech Malta Week 2026, an expanded five-day experience that goes far beyond the traditional conference format.
For the first time, MedTech World Europe will unfold across both Malta and its sister island, Gozo, bringing together investors, founders, healthcare leaders, and innovators for a week designed around connection, collaboration, and Mediterranean hospitality.
From an exclusive Investors Retreat in Gozo to cultural experiences, industry workshops, startup showcases, and the MedTech World Awards, the event transforms what was once a three-day conference into a complete ecosystem experience.
The Investors Retreat | Gozo | 9–11 November
The week opens in Gozo with the inaugural MedTech World Investors Retreat, an experience created for accredited investors and senior industry leaders.
Set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean, the Retreat is designed to create space for meaningful conversations and strategic relationship-building ahead of the main conference in Malta. Accepted accredited investors will receive a complimentary pass to attend the Retreat.
Over three days, attendees will experience Gozo through a curated programme that combines executive networking with high-end hospitality and leisure experiences. Guests will sail on Maltese waters aboard a 5-star mega yacht, enjoy top-tier international entertainment, and take part in private gatherings with some of the industry’s leading voices.
The programme will also include visits to the Citadella, Gozo’s historic fortified city; winery experiences featuring Mediterranean cuisine; racket sports activities; and workshops led by key opinion leaders from across MedTech, healthcare, and investment.
The Retreat offers an opportunity to wind down together before the energy of MedTech Malta begins, creating an environment where conversations can happen more naturally away from traditional conference settings.
Cultural Tour Day | Malta | 11 November
On 11 November, the experience transitions from Gozo to Malta as the wider MedTech World community arrives for a cultural immersion day through Valletta and Mdina.
Known for their architecture, history, and cinematic scenery, the cities provide a distinctive setting for the week ahead. Mdina’s ancient streets have featured in productions including Game of Thrones and Gladiator, while Valletta remains one of the Mediterranean’s most historic capitals.
The cultural programme is designed to bring attendees together through shared experiences before the conference officially begins.
The MedTech World Europe conference will take place on 12 and 13 November at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, a landmark venue with history as remarkable as the event it hosts, originally built as a First World War hospital and now one of Europe’s most distinctive conference halls.
Over two days, the venue will host keynote discussions, panel sessions, workshops, company showcases, investor meetings, and an exhibition floor, bringing together companies and organisations from across the global MedTech ecosystem.
The programme will also feature the MedTech World Startup Pitch Competition, placing emerging health technology companies centre stage in front of international investors and healthcare leaders.
The MedTech World Awards | Closing Ceremony
The week concludes with the MedTech World Gala Awards, bringing together winners from North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond to celebrate the individuals, companies, and innovations that shaped healthcare in 2026.
The awards ceremony will close MedTech Malta Week with a celebration of breakthrough ideas, leadership, and collaboration across the global MedTech ecosystem.
