Countdown to MedTech Malta 2025: What to Expect in Valletta

With 300+ expert speakers and 100+ sponsors and partners, and 2,000+ attendees set to gather from across the globe—including 20% investors and 35% MedTech companiesMedTech Malta 2025 promises to be the most impactful edition yet.

This year, the conference also comes with added value—MedTech Malta has been approved as a CPD-Accredited event, meaning healthcare professionals and industry leaders can enhance their professional development while engaging with peers and innovators from around the world.

From 12 to 14 November 2025, the city of Valletta will welcome MedTech leaders, investors, innovators, and policymakers from around the world for MedTech Malta 2025 at the historic Mediterranean Conference Centre. Set within the former Sacra Infermeria of the Knights of St. John, the Mediterranean Conference Centre is one of Malta’s most iconic venues. Once a grand hospital dating back to the 16th century, it has been transformed into a world-class events centre—its vaulted halls and sweeping architecture offering a striking backdrop that connects centuries of history with forward-looking MedTech innovation.

More than a conference, this annual gathering has become a meeting point for the global MedTech community—where ideas are challenged, collaborations are born, and healthcare technology takes its next steps forward.

Malta itself plays an important role in the experience. With its compact size, walkable capital, and Mediterranean charm, Valletta provides an intimate backdrop that encourages spontaneous encounters and deeper conversations. Between historic architecture and stunning coastal views, attendees find themselves immersed in a setting that naturally fosters meaningful networking and lasting relationships.

A truly global audience

This year’s attendees reflect MedTech Malta’s growing international reach, with representation spanning every major region:

  • USA – 30%
  • UK & EU – 25%
  • Middle East – 20%
  • Asia – 15%
  • Malta – 10%

This diversity ensures that discussions capture a wide range of perspectives, from established healthcare markets to fast-emerging innovation hubs.

Purpose-built forums for meaningful dialogue

At the heart of MedTech Malta are its exclusive forums, designed to bring together leaders in closed-door settings where genuine exchange can happen.

  • CEO–Only Forum: A gathering for founders and executives to share challenges, swap lessons, and explore strategies for growth in a trusted, peer-level environment.
  • Investor–Only Forum: A confidential space for venture capitalists, private equity leaders, and institutional investors to discuss investment trends and outlooks—without startups or press present.
  • Commercial Leaders–Only Forum, powered by Zapyrus: Making its debut this year, this forum focuses on how commercial leaders assess new opportunities, build trust with stakeholders, and form alliances that fuel sustainable success.

These spaces ensure that every participant—whether they are building, funding, or scaling MedTech companies—has access to candid conversations that rarely happen on the public stage.

An agenda that confronts MedTech’s biggest questions

The 2025 program promises two stages running in parallel, offering a breadth of choice for attendees. From strategic panels and fireside chats to smaller expert-led roundtables, the content is designed to be both practical and forward-looking.

Key themes shaping the discussions include:

  • Global uncertainties and MedTech supply chains: How geopolitical tensions and trade disruptions are redefining sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • AI in healthcare: Beyond the hype—what it takes to build trust in AI-powered medical devices and secure regulatory approval.
  • Regulatory evolution: Insights into shifting international frameworks and how companies can anticipate change rather than react to it.
  • Capital formation in MedTech: Funding strategies across regions, from early-stage investments to cross-border growth capital.

With speakers and contributors from the U.S., EU, APAC, and MENA, the agenda is intentionally global—offering attendees a wide-angle view of where MedTech is headed and how regional perspectives differ.

Experiences that extend beyond the stage

MedTech Malta blends structured content with curated cultural and social experiences. Instead of relying solely on panel halls, the event spills into the city itself:

  • Guided explorations through Valletta’s historic streets, giving participants a taste of the island’s rich culture while encouraging relaxed, high-value networking.
  • Evening VIP receptions and private networking gatherings, held in Malta’s most iconic venues, offering intimate settings to connect with speakers, investors, and senior executives. Among them, MUŻA—the National Museum of Fine Arts—stands out as a particularly meaningful setting. Housed in a former Auberge of the Knights of St. John, MUŻA is not only a landmark of Maltese cultural heritage but also a symbol of creativity and collaboration. Hosting a networking reception here offers attendees the chance to connect while surrounded by centuries of art and history, blending cultural immersion with professional exchange.

These moments ensure that the value of MedTech Malta lies not just in what happens on stage, but also in the conversations that unfold across dinners, walks, and informal meetups.

It’s more than an awards night; it’s a celebration of the individuals and companies pushing MedTech forward, and a chance for attendees to reflect on the collective progress of the community.
